Buying a new car isn’t about cost. A used car will beat a new one on cost every time. This has a lot to with how many miles you will drive and how long you’ll keep the car. Somewhere between 150,000 and 250,000 miles, the gas cost alone in the Camry will make the Model 3 less expensive. If you drive 25,000 miles a year the Model 3 is better for you than Toyota Camry. At less than about 5,000 miles a year, the Camry is certainly going to cost less. In between there, it’s uncertain. The Camry will probably have more maintenance. The Tesla Model 3 features and driving experience will likely keep the resale value higher. Model 3 has a lot more of the stuff people buy new cars for prestige, cutting edge features, overall driving experience, etc.
